From the outdoor environmental projects (tree planting, aquaculture, herbology) to indoor spaces (climate library, AI & technology lab, strategy room, youth academy), the Center connects theory, practice, policy, and innovation in one location.
Why this is unique to Ghana:
In Ghana, climate work is often fragmented—NGOs focus on advocacy, universities on theory, tech hubs on innovation, and community projects on practice. The Sankofa Center uniquely integrates all of these functions, creating a rare end-to-end climate solution hub rooted in local realities.
